Uniquely, the TSI-200 is sold as an inert electrical device thereby eliminating the logistical complications of current pyrotechnic devices. Specifically, no ATF licenses are needed to purchase and transport the product and no hazardous shipping charges are incurred. Once the customer receives the TSI-200, they fill the pyrotechnic cavity with a pyrogen of their choosing immediately prior to use.
The TSI-200 features the same MS3112E8-2P electrical interface as the NASA Standard Initiator and threads into the same 3/8-24 UNF threaded MS33649-03/AS5202-03 O-ring Boss Port as the NASA Standard Initiator. With a single-use burst pressure greater than 10,000 psi, the TSI-200 provides a reliable method of igniting pyrotechnics through a pressure tight seal simply not available in most consumer level ignition devices.
